A LITTLE ABOUT ME
I am a research professional based in the San Francisco Bay Area and currently working as the Director of Applied Narrative Research at the BLIS Collective -- a solidarity and action hub that uses research, organizing, and radical collaboration to build and grow transformative social movements. I am passionate about using science to advance racial justice in American institutions. In all my work, I leverage over 10 years of experience and expertise in the psychology of bias, educational psychology, data science, survey design, and experimental methods. I received my Bachelors degree in Political and Social Thought from the University of Virginia, and my PhD in Social Psychology from Stanford University. In addition to conducting behavioral science research and publishing in peer-reviewed academic journals, I write and speak about research for popular media outlets, including Scientific American and Education Week. I have also acted as a scientific advisor for organizations such as Alder Graduate School of Education, Character Lab, Pressto, and the Texas Mindset Initiative. When I'm not working, you can find me working on my latest jigsaw puzzle, checking out new neighborhood restaurants, or planning my next trip.
